The Cloud Case references the function of a bookcase and the form of the fireplace, toy house, and clouds found in Goodnight Moon, the classic children’s book that inspired Fort Makers’ recent group show: Goodnight House. Finished in painted paper pulp, this oversized sculpture evokes childlike curiosity, fantasy, and play with the use of primary colors, cutouts, and a cloud-like vignette. It even has a small, secret “mouse hole” on the side.
